    Based between Montreal and Nice, Alex Nereuta is an award-winning Canadian artist, designer, and creative director working under the name Awol Art Alex. Raised between Romania and Canada, with formative years spent in Asia and Europe, she brings a wide range of places and influences into her work. Her background spans fine art, branding, design, and creative direction, with clients including Cirque du Soleil, Disney, and Madonna. Her artwork has also been featured in Paper Magazine, Condé Nast Traveller, Harper’s Bazaar, and Vogue.

    Awol Art Alex’s work is bright, graphic, and full of personality. Swimmers stretch across diving boards, figures move through vivid blue water, and everyday summer moments take on a playful, slightly surreal edge. Her bold use of colour and clean shapes gives each piece a strong visual identity, but there is always warmth underneath it. Inspired by light, landscape, memory, and character, her artwork turns simple moments into images that feel joyful, stylish, and easy to remember.
