    Ankie Kooi is an illustrator from the Netherlands whose work is rooted in a lifelong love of nature. After a career in healthcare, she turned fully toward her creative practice, working across watercolor, line drawing, digital art, and nature photography. Flowers, leaves, stems, and other organic forms often become her starting point, giving her work a close connection to the things that grow and change around us.

    Across the collection, Ankie moves between loose floral studies, delicate botanical outlines, and softly abstract compositions. Fine black lines weave through translucent watercolor washes, often in blush pinks, greens, blues, and muted purples. Her flowers are rarely treated as strict botanical studies. They are more like impressions of something seen in passing, remembered later, or simply allowed to unfold across the page in her own intuitive way.
